August 18, 2007 - Virginia Dare’s 420th Birthday will be celebrated at the Fort Raleigh Historic Site. The Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony and Fort Raleigh will host special activities and programs all day. Virginia Dare/New World Colony tours will be given in The Elizabethan Gardens at 10 a.m., 12 noon and 2:30 p.m. Interesting stories about Virginia Dare and the Colonists abound - come hear the fascinating details.
