6th Annual Evening Under The Stars with the North Carolina Symphony Postponed
New Date To Be Announced

(MANTEO, NC) June 2, 2007 - The June 3, 2007 scheduled performance of the Concert Chorale of the Outer Banks and the North Carolina Symphony at Roanoke Island Festival Park has been postponed. A future performance date will be announced within the coming weeks.

The annual performance of the North Carolina Symphony is one of the most anticipated cultural events of the season. The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, Roanoke Island Festival Park and the National Park Service, Wright Brothers National Memorial are dedicated to providing the best venue and ambiance for the pleasure of the patrons and the orchestra and have determined that selecting an alternative date will provide a more enjoyable experience.

Current weather forecast for Sunday June 3, 2007 indicates the potential of heavy rainfall which may result in flooding along NC 12 and around the rain location of the Centennial Pavilion at Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills.
